CSA : Community Supported Agriculture
SIGN UP OPEN FOR FALL 2019
The core of our farm is a CSA, which stands for community supported agriculture. A CSA is a model of food distribution which builds a relationship with your farmer. It is a fun way to connect with the farm.
What Membership Means: Members agree to buy a share of the farm at the beginning of each season in return for their portion of the harvest each week. Shares reflect the inherently unpredictable nature of farming--while we plant a diverse and abundant selection of vegetables, each season will have its booms and busts for individual crops. Some weeks we may have unlimited broccoli, where others we may not have enough lettuce etc.
By becoming a member, you will become an important member of our community. By supporting us, we will reward you with lots of great food.
Our produce is certified organic--always using the best practices for the environment and the people who eat it! Hoop houses allow us to produce food year round and earlier in the season than crops grown in the field. We proudly give members food that is carefully washed, freshly picked, and of the highest quality.

Join us Thursday evenings to select produce from the farm during the fall harvest. Enjoy a wide selection of roots, greens, and squashes. We will also have the last of the summer's bounty of tomatoes, fresh herbs, and so much more. U-pick raspberries are usually included.
You will select your own vegetables each week by the pound--we will let you know how much each week based on the harvest (usually about 6lbs). There will also be a bonus bench with special items in addition to what you pick out by weight. We guarantee you will receive more value for your dollar because you are a member!
When/Where to pick up:
Thursdays 3:30-6:30pm at our farm stand on 3825 Nixon Rd, just 5 miles north of downtown Ann Arbor.
PAYMENT: Please mail a check made for $330 to Green Things Farm at 3825 Nixon Rd Ann Arbor, MI 48105 when signing up. We do not accept cards for CSAs. You may pay cash, contact us for details.
IMPORTANT : We will be doing every other week pick up starting for November and December. Since fall vegetables are generally shelf stable you will get to pick out two weeks of veggies during the last two months of shares. This also lines up so that we will not have distributions over Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Distributions will be November 7th and 21st and December 5th.
What if I can't make distribution?
If you cannot make distribution, please send a friend in your place. Think of it as a season ticket, if you miss a game you don't get to refund your ticket. Thanks for understanding.
We often send out recipes in our weekly newsletter to help with meal ideas. We also encourage members to ask questions, walk the fields, and peek in the hoop houses.
